This is a single movement 1st Section Test Piece by Iain McKnight, which takes its title from the famed journey by Jason and the Argonauts to the Island of Colchis to fetch the Golden Fleece. The music is not strictly programmatic in the sense that, bar-by-bar, it recreates the story in music; rather it tells of the general sense of adventure in the myth.
